Biography
Filipchuk Andrii Mykhailovych was born on September 25, 1989 in the village of Khyshevychi, Horodok district, Lviv region. In 2006, he graduated from the Koropuz secondary school. In 2011, he graduated from the Faculty of History with a specialization in "Archaeology", and in 2014 he completed his postgraduate studies at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He worked as a research fellow at the Center for Monument Research, an assistant at the Department of Medieval History and Byzantine Studies, and a research fellow at the research department of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Since 2015, he has been the Deputy Director for Research at the Davnii Plisnesk Historical and Cultural Reserve. He was a tour guide in Lviv and Plisnesk. On February 25, 2022, he volunteered for the front. He served in the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He had the skills of a combat medic and a SPG-9 "Spis" gunner. He took part in combat operations on the territory of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. He was killed on February 2, 2023 near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. He was buried on February 10, 2023 at the Lychakiv Military Cemetery. He is survived by his wife and son.Burial place
