Andrii M. Ilin

Born on August 28, 1983, in the city of Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad region. Graduated from secondary school No. 10 in Svitlovodsk, and in 2005 - from the Kremenchuk Institute of the Dnipropetrovsk University of Economics and Law (now - Kremenchuk Institute of Higher Education "Alfred Nobel University" - city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region). Worked at the Svitlovodsk District State Administration, then at a telecommunications company in the city of Kremenchuk, Poltava region. In April 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the Svitlovodsk-Onufriivka United District Military Commissariat of Kirovohrad region. Served as a platoon commander of the 17th Territorial Defense Battalion "Kirovohrad" (since November 2014 - the 17th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2304). Since 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On January 22, 2015, Lieutenant Ilyin was killed in the area of the city of Horlivka, Donetsk region, during a massive artillery shelling of checkpoint No. 7 by Russian armed formations. On February 11, 2015, he was buried at the Reviv Cemetery in the city of Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad region.
