Andrii M. Ivanin (Siedoi)

Sergeant Andriy Ivanin (call sign Sjedyj) was killed on November 17, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The 42-year-old warrior received a fatal injury while performing a combat mission as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Andriy was born in the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. He graduated from the Kostiantynivka Industrial College, where he obtained the profession of an economist. He worked in various jobs and positions. In each field, he found interest and inspiration. He was interested in fishing, hiking, and loved the diverse nature of Ukraine. He was passionate about motorcycles, attended motofestivals and concerts, and traveled around Ukraine on a motorcycle. During the full-scale war, the man defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of the protection platoon of the logistics battalion. "He was one of those people who bring light and inspiration around. Cheerful and active, with a keen sense of justice. We miss him every minute," said the defender's wife Natalia. "As a true patriot, Andriy Ivanin went to the front on February 25. As a volunteer. He did not wait for the summons. He had to beat the damned enemy, drive him out of his native land. This is the act of a true and faithful son of the Fatherland," they said in the defender's native community. The serviceman was buried in the city of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region. Andriy is survived by his wife, son Stanislav and stepson Vitaliy.
