- Junior Sergeant Andrii Kaseniuk (call sign Monk, Mikhalich) died on April 17, 2023, in the territory of the Serebrianske forestry, in Luhansk region. In the battle with the enemy, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The warrior was 35 years old. Andrii was from the village of Rohivske, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived in Kamianske. He graduated from Vocational School No. 22 and Dnipro State Technical University. He worked as a foreman and mechanic at the Dnipro Coke Plant, LLC "Metinvest Promservis". In 2018, he received the title "Metinvest Star". In his free time, he was involved in music and was the founder and guitarist of the band "Silver Town". In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO in Donetsk region. He held the position of a fire adjustment officer in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. At that time, he had the call sign Monk. During the full-scale invasion, he became a fighter of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the 1st Battalion of the 31st Brigade named after Major General Oleksandr Radiievskyi. He was the commander of the artillery reconnaissance squad. He fought in the Donetsk region, on the border of the Kharkiv region. The military man was awarded numerous awards: "For Military Service to Ukraine", the honorary badge "Defender of Luhansk Region", the badge "For Valiant Service", the award of the combat unit "Defender of the Native Land" and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "My son was an extraordinarily kind, decent, honest, and patriotic person. He always said: 'If not me, mom, then who? This is our land and we have to defend it.' He stood for his land until his last breath. I want him not to be forgotten and not to forget those who pay the price of their lives for our bright future!" - shared Iryna Kaseniuk. Andrii was buried in the Alley of Glory in Kamianske. He left behind his mother, sister, and wife.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
