- Sergeant Andriy Klyuba (call sign Gruzyn) was killed on April 17, 2023, as a result of a vehicle explosion on an explosive device near the village of Dorozhnyanka, Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 38 years old. Andriy was born in the village of Bilshivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He lived in Ivano-Frankivsk. He graduated from the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, obtaining a degree in physical education and sports. He was a well-known athlete in the city and later a coach who raised many future champions, including in kickboxing. With the start of the full-scale war, the man without hesitation went to defend Ukraine from the Russian invaders. He fought in the ranks of the 102nd separate territorial defense brigade named after Colonel Dmytro Vitovsky. He was a machine gunner in the fire support company of the 78th battalion. "Andriy performed his duties in the war with honor, conscience, and dedication! His life path was dedicated to the Motherland and his beloved family. The news that such a dear Andriy Klyuba had was killed struck the very heart like a sharp cold sword... Warm memories, like a shadow before the eyes, keep emerging... There are truly few like him. He always stood out from the others. He could lift the mood with his optimism, witty jokes, and how much life was in his eyes! He was the one who always came to help! Unexpected, cheerful, stubborn, and smart. Kind. Reliable. Your smile is still in front of my eyes. He knew how to embellish everything with a note of subtle irony and reduce any worries to nothing, 'forget' about the secondary and emerge victorious from any situation... He was the most sincere of all I know..." wrote Natalia Fufalko, the sister of the deceased's wife. "He was a kind, fair person, he tried to help everyone. He was a good father to his son Andriy, a good husband to his wife Olga, and a wonderful son to his parents," added the fighter's cousin Ostap Yakubovsky. The hero was buried in the village of Chukalivka, Ivano-Frankivsk region. At home, Andriy was awaited by his parents, sister, wife, son, relatives, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
