Andrii M. Krasnozhon

Andriy Mykolaiovych Krasnozhan was born in Chernihiv. He volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the first wave of mobilization in 2014. He was in the reserve. On February 24, 2022, with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, he also voluntarily went into military service. He took part in combat operations on the outskirts of Chernihiv. He was killed on March 18, 2022, while in the "ZAZ" microdistrict. In the morning, there were shelling by Russian tanks, later snipers started shooting. Andriy ran to rescue a comrade and came under sniper fire when evacuating his wounded friend. Andriy Krasnozhan was buried on March 20, 2022, in Chernihiv.
