Andrii M. Naida (Malyi)

Soldier Andrii Naida (call sign Malyi) was killed on January 5, 2023, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The fighter received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. He was 25 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Mala Vilshanka, Kyiv region. After school, he obtained the profession of a welder at the Bila Tserkva Vocational and Technical School named after Pavlo Popovych. He worked in his specialty. In his free time, he loved to drive a car. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 241st separate brigade of territorial defense. He was a rifleman-medic. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he first defended the capital and the Kyiv region, and then fought in other hot spots of the front. At the end of 2022, their unit went to the Donetsk region - near Bakhmut. "Andrii was very kind and fair. His comrades spoke of him as a brave, courageous and reliable warrior. He valued his family the most. Even while in the trench, he calmed his relatives and worried that everything was fine at home. We are infinitely proud of Andrii and thank him for his love for Ukraine, his protection and his sacrifice for our future. Heroes do not die as long as they are remembered, and we simply have no right to forget. Forever in our hearts, our Hero," said the deceased's fiancée, Viktoria. The hero was buried in the village of Mala Vilshanka, Kyiv region. At home, the defender was awaited by his mother and fiancée.
