Andrii M. Osadchuk (Osa)

Soldier Andriy Osadchuk (call sign Osa) was killed on February 10, 2023 near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, the fighter came under enemy mortar fire. He was 22 years old. Andriy was born in the village of Mankivka, Vinnytsia region. After school, he graduated from the Vinnytsia Center for Vocational Education No. 1. He worked in construction abroad. He loved working with wood. When the full-scale war began, the man was working in Poland. However, he immediately decided to return to defend his homeland. On February 24, Andriy joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces. Later, he became a fighter of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. "Andriiko was a charming person, very positive and bright. He had golden hands, and whatever he took on, he succeeded. He loved working with wood very much, but dreamed of a military career. We were all waiting for him at home. He was like a little ray of sunshine. We were supposed to get married on March 1, but unfortunately he was killed. We love him very much and will always remember him," said his fiancée Viktoria. The defender was buried in his native village. Andriy is survived by his mother, sisters, grandmother, grandfather, and fiancée.
