- Soldier Andrii Pylypchuk was killed on March 4, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 47 years old. Andrii was a resident of the village of Dovhyi Voinyliv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the Kalush Vocational and Technical Lyceum. He worked at a driving school. Then he went to work in Poland and Slovakia. The man fought in Iraq and participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas. Therefore, with the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he took up arms again to defend Ukraine from the Russian occupiers. He was a machine gunner in one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My husband was wounded twice and still returned to the war. He said his comrades-in-arms were waiting for him there. I want to create a petition to grant him the title of Hero of Ukraine," said his wife Zlata. "Andrii was one of the warriors who never surrender. When asked how difficult it was there, he always replied that everything was fine. He was wounded and could have stayed at home. But he could not leave his comrades-in-arms. He was a very strong person," said Andrii, Zlata's son from a previous relationship. The warrior was buried in the village of Dovhyi Voinyliv in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Andrii left behind a brother, sister, wife, and two children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
