Andrii M. Savorona

Serviceman Andriy Savorona died in the hospital on November 25, 2022, from wounds received in battle near the village of Mykolaivka Druga in the Donetsk region. A week before his death, the warrior would have turned 23 years old. Andriy was born in the village of Krasne, Kyiv region. He graduated from Zguriv secondary school. Then he studied at the Zguriv vocational lyceum. In his free time, he loved to do sports. He dreamed of his own business, family, and a peaceful future. Since 2019, he has been serving under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman-medic in one of the combat units. With the start of the full-scale war, Andriy continued to defend his native country from the Russian invaders. "There are very few like Andriy. He was a very kind and positive person. He was respected by his comrades. He was always smiling. He dreamed very much of a little daughter. After the war, he wanted to open his own business," said the deceased's beloved Alla. "I just don't believe it... This is my student Andriy... My first class, in which I was a class teacher... And in my memory, Andriyko remained a kind and bright boy. I cannot express in words everything I am feeling now... I express my condolences to the mother and family... Strength to withstand this terrible grief. Andriyko, just recently I wrote to you how proud I was that I taught you... You are our pride, our Hero! Rest in peace, light clouds to you, boy," wrote teacher Iryna. "He made the greatest feat of a real man - he gave his life for the integrity and independence of Ukraine. We bow our heads low before the fallen, share the pain of loss with relatives, loved ones and friends. Eternal memory and honor to the Hero!" noted the Zguriv community. The defender was buried in his native village. Andriy is survived by his mother, brother, sisters, girlfriend, friends and comrades.
