- Junior Lieutenant Andriy Klub (call sign Disko) was killed on August 30, 2022 in battle near the village of Novomykolaivka in the Mykolaiv region. 10 days before this, the officer turned 32 years old. Andriy was from the village of Dobrosyn in the Lviv region. He received an education and had many plans for his life. However, in 2014, the Russian-Ukrainian war began. In March 2015, Andriy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since then, the man decided to devote himself to the military. He mastered the military profession and went from a soldier to an officer. He fought in the ATO/JFO in Donbas. Andriy met the full-scale invasion on the front lines of the Luhansk region. At that time, he was the commander of a company in the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. "It seemed to me that he was always a junior lieutenant, and we often joked about that. He was a platoon commander, then performed the duties of a company commander, and then was already a company commander. The last time we saw him was the day after his unit returned from performing tasks near the occupied Popasna. This was somewhere at the end of spring 2022, maybe the first days of summer. He then told the most bizarre and terrible story of how he managed to survive and come out almost unscathed, while laughing about it - yes, the military laugh at death. Further there was the restoration of combat capability and the performance of tasks already in southern Ukraine. Since August 30, 2022, Andriy was considered missing. In recent days, the worst has been confirmed - he was killed. In battle. He was killed while leading his unit on a mission. He was killed while being next to his soldiers. Rest in peace, friend Disko," wrote his comrade Nazar Ilnytskyi. "Andriy showed himself to be a brave warrior and repeatedly led his soldiers out of enemy encirclement. He suffered wounds and concussions, but remained in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said the deceased's friend Iryna Stepovana. The officer was buried on May 6, 2023 in his native village. Andriy is survived by his mother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
