Andrii O. Liedieniov

Paratrooper Andriy Ledenev was killed on April 24, 2022, in a battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Bohorodychne, Donetsk region. Andriy was born in the city of Bilovodsk, Luhansk region. After school, he chose the path of a military man and entered the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Ivan Kozhedub. After graduation, he went to serve in the 81st separate airmobile brigade of the DShV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 21, 2022, Andriy celebrated his 22nd birthday. And just three days later, a full-scale war with the Russian army began. The young defender went to defend Donbass. At first, his brigade defended the Luhansk cities of Starobilsk and Lysychansk, then the Kharkiv direction, and later Donbass. It was there that Andriy took his last battle, where he , like a hero, with a weapon in his hands. The defender left behind only his sister Karina. He was killed on her birthday. "He bravely defended his native Ukraine. We hadn't seen each other for almost a year. He was killed on April 24, 2022, on Easter and my birthday. After this news, my life turned upside down. I couldn't believe it, because Andriy always had a positive and fighting spirit. Now I live with the thought that he would want everything to be fine with me. For me and for everyone, he will remain a good, sincere, fair, and cheerful man! Andriy Ledenev is a hero!", Karina said. Andriy was buried at the Krasnopil cemetery in Dnipro.
