Andrii O. Mazlai (Mazda)

31-year-old Junior Sergeant Andrii Mazlai (call sign Mazda) was killed on February 8, 2023 near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal explosive injury. Andrii was from the city of Varash in the Rivne region. He graduated from the local secondary school No. 5. He obtained the profession of a security guard-cash collector at the Horodok vocational school. He then began to travel abroad for work. In his free time, he loved to do sports. During the full-scale war, in September 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 355th Training Mechanized Regiment of the 184th Training Center of the National Academy of Land Forces. He was an instructor in the general military training school. "He was a very good and sensitive person. He loved his children very much, he was the best dad for them," said his ex-wife Sofiia. The warrior was buried in the village of Stara Rafalivka in the Rivne region. Andrii is survived by his parents, sister, two sons, relatives, close friends, and comrades-in-arms.
