Andrii O. Povroznik (Khokhol)

Senior Soldier Andrii Povroznik (call sign Khokhol) was killed on August 2, 2023 in the area of the settlement of Vilshany in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The defender was 28 years old. Andrii was from the village of Vyshchi Lubiianky in the Ternopil region. He graduated from the Ternopil Vocational College with enhanced military and physical training. He worked at LLC "Kremenchanka". He was married and dreamed of family comfort. During the war, a daughter was born to the couple, for whom the man fought. He longed for his family to never know the horrors of war. During the full-scale invasion, Andrii joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his loved ones and the Motherland. He became a fighter of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. "My husband was the best. Despite everything, he stood up to defend Ukraine. He defended us in the Kupiansk direction. He will forever remain in our hearts and our memory as a cheerful, kind and good person," said Iryna Povroznik. The warrior was buried in the village of Novyi Rohivets in the Ternopil region. Andrii is survived by his mother, sisters, wife and daughter, who was not yet a year old.
