Andrii O. Semenovych (Dok)

22-year-old combat medic Andriy Semenovych (call sign Doc) was killed on May 8, 2022, near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The defender received fatal head injuries during enemy shelling. Andriy was born in the city of Berestetchko in the Volyn region. He graduated from Dubno Medical College, where he trained as a paramedic-midwife. He was cheerful, full of life, and the life of the party. During the full-scale war, the young man served in the reconnaissance company of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He was a combat medic and saved his comrades at the front. "Andriy was one of those daredevils who simply did their job without thinking about recognition! He loved his parents, his sister, he loved Ukraine! Sincere and extraordinarily kind! I wish I could go back to that time… get in the car, turn on our music and, singing along, head to the gas station for hot dogs. Once you told me: 'Worse than death is being forgotten!'. I promise you, I will not forget! We will all remember! Now you will live forever…," wrote friend Zoryana Konovalets. "Andryukha Doc was the soul of the company, always positive... He loved life in all its manifestations... Rest in heaven with all the other worthy warriors! And we will avenge each of you!," wrote comrade Andriy Kmet. The serviceman was buried in his hometown in Volyn. Andriy is survived by his parents, a sister, and a brother. Junior Sergeant Andriy Semenovych was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage III class.
