- Senior Soldier Andriy Yermolenko (call sign Maidan) was killed on March 5, 2022, during the defense of the Kyiv region. The defender sustained a fatal injury near the village of Moschun. He was 36 years old. Andriy was born in the city of Irpin, Kyiv region. He graduated as a third-class parquet floor installer from Zhytomyr Professional and Technical School No. 5. He was fond of sports and often won local races. He worked in his profession for many years. Then he mastered the profession of an assembler and obtained a first-class qualification. He also worked as a miner for some time. In his free time, he enjoyed working with wood products, fishing, and mushroom picking. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhtsians and took up the defense of Kyiv region. He held the position of an operator-telephonist. "Andriy was a very kind-hearted person, a true patriot, a loving father, and husband. He always helped everyone, loved life, and his family," said the fallen warrior's wife, Nadiya. Andriy was buried in the village of Ozero, Zhytomyr region. The defender left behind his wife, two sons, and two daughters. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Andriy Yermolenko was awarded the Order of "Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
