- Senior Soldier Andriy Perchuk was killed in action on March 26, 2022, during the execution of a combat mission near the town of Barvinkove in Kharkiv region. The fighter was 50 years old. Andriy was born in the village of Mykhailivka, Mykolaiv region. He received a secondary education. Thanks to his hobby of cars and machinery, he was an excellent auto mechanic. Since 2015, he has been defending Ukraine. He fought in the ATO as part of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He served as a medical vehicle driver in the medical company. He participated in battles for Mariupol, Ilovaisk, Debaltseve, Savur-Mohyla, Shyrokyne, Lutuhyne, Hranitne, Popasna, etc. In 2021, Andriy transferred to the 40th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Grand Duke Vytautas and carried out combat missions in the area of the JFO in Donbas. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, together with his comrades, he continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers. "Since 2015, we didn't even realize that dad was putting on a uniform for all this time. Every year we lived with anxiety and calls from him. But on March 26, 2022, unfortunately, we did not wait for his call, he was gone on the Kharkiv front. He received awards many times. Andriy Perchuk was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a true warrior, a friend and comrade, an example of unbreakable and strong spirit, a man of his word. A great person who wrote the history of our country. A person who deserves respect and honor! I am proud of my father, his dedication and patriotism," wrote the fallen soldier's daughter, Nadiya. Andriy was buried in his native village. He is survived by his wife and two children. Posthumously, the fighter was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
