Andrii P. Rachok

Soldier Andrii Rachok died on September 3, 2023, near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the fighter suffered a fatal explosive injury. He was forever 35 years old. Andrii was born and lived in the village of Ivantsi, Rivne region. He graduated from the Kolkiv Vocational and Technical School, where he obtained the profession of a tractor driver. He then took courses and mastered the profession of a tiler. He skillfully laid tiles and was passionate about willow weaving: he made baskets and other products. In peaceful life, he worked as a car mechanic at the "Region Invest" enterprise. During the full-scale war, the man did not remain on the sidelines and without hesitation went to defend his country from the Russian invaders. At first, he was in the local TRO, and then he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. He underwent training, took the position of a gunner, and went to the front line. "Good, hardworking, persistent, had many plans for the future," said the sister of the deceased Natalia Kovalets. "A good man," added his comrades from the local DFTG, which Andrii joined at the beginning of the invasion. "He always came to help, never refused anyone," said his fellow villagers. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Polytsi, Rivne region. Andrii is survived by his parents, two sisters, nephews, relatives, close ones, friends, and comrades-in-arms.
