- Senior soldier Andrii Dmytrevych (call sign Santa) was killed on October 6, 2023 in the Zaporizhzhia direction. During a firefight and enemy mortar shelling, he sustained serious injuries and died in the hospital. He turned 25 on September 29. Andrii was from the village of Sevriuky, Khmilnytskyi region. He studied at the Sevriuky secondary school. In 2017, he graduated from the Teofipol Agrarian Vocational Lyceum, obtaining the qualifications of tractor-machine operator, driver, and mechanic. He served his conscription in the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2021, he obtained the qualifications of body repairer and automatic/semi-automatic welder at the Khmilnytskyi Higher Vocational School No. 11. Since then, he worked as a tractor driver at the LLC "Ukraina 2001". He loved animals, nature, fishing, driving, welding, and was interested in agricultural machinery, collecting tools. He spent his free time with his loved ones and friends. On February 25, 2022, he was voluntarily mobilized into the National Guard of Ukraine. Initially, he served in military unit 3053. In January 2023, he was transferred to the 14th Operational Purpose Brigade "Chervona Kalyna". He held the position of senior machine gunner in the 2nd anti-tank section of the anti-tank platoon of the 4th Operational Purpose Battalion. He also underwent training in the United Kingdom. "Andrii was a kind, sincere, and sensitive person. He was a good friend, a cheerful and generous comrade, which is why he had the call sign Santa. He was very hardworking, helped his mother around the household, and always came to the aid of his friends. Andrii will forever remain in our hearts with love," said his girlfriend Yulia Naumenko. The National Guard soldier was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, sisters, brothers, girlfriend, and other relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
