- Senior Sergeant Andriy Holish (call sign Almaz) was killed on September 14, 2022, near the village of Bezimenne in the Kherson region. While carrying out a combat mission, he was severely wounded as a result of an enemy airstrike. The evacuation was delayed due to shelling. The soldier lost a lot of blood, and he could not be saved. Andriy was born in the village of Lypyna in the Lviv region. He graduated from the Uhniv Agricultural-Building College. Since 2007, he worked at the "Lisova" mine, holding the position of a coal face miner. He was married and lived with his family in the city of Chervonohrad in the Lviv region. On February 24, 2022, he turned 45 years old, and a full-scale war began. In that same month, Andriy was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He commanded a platoon in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He participated in battles in Luhansk and Kherson regions. "Andriy was a loving father and husband, a good person who never refused to help anyone. Responsible, he always performed his work diligently. A volunteer from the first days of the war. He really wanted to celebrate victory with his family, to hug his sons whom he loved more than anything in the world," said the wife of the fallen, Oksana. The defender was buried in Chervonohrad in the Lviv region. At home, Andriy was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and two sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
