- 29-year-old Senior Soldier Andriy Kukharetz was killed on August 23, 2022, near the village of Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, he received a fatal gunshot wound. Andriy was born in the city of Kherson. He graduated from the Kamyshany School No. 26. Then he entered the Kherson National Technical University, but did not finish his studies and joined the army. He was fond of cars. He spent his free time with relatives and friends. He was a participant in the ATO, particularly took part in the battles for Ilovaisk. In recent years, he lived in Poland, worked at a shipyard in Gdansk. During the large-scale Russian invasion, the man returned to his homeland to defend it again. He fought in the ranks of the separate presidential brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He was a shooter-sniper. "To be honest, he was an example of an ideal man, an ideal person. A person with an extremely kind heart, who had no enemies and always only spoke positively about him. A true patriot of his country. The full-scale war caught him in Poland, where he had worked for many years. But Andriy felt that he was needed here, at home. Already in early March, he arrived in Lviv and immediately went to the military commissariat. None of his relatives could think that something might happen to him, because he could always cope with any challenges of fate. But his life was cut short on August 23, 2022. One phrase still revolves in my head: "Brother, you promised to return," said the deceased's sister Yulia. The warrior was buried in the cemetery in the village of Stara Rafalivka, Rivne region. Andriy left behind his father, sisters, grandmother, and other relatives.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
