- 38-year-old soldier Andriy Linnyk was killed on December 22, 2023 near the city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. Together with his comrade, he was walking through a minefield to evacuate a wounded sergeant. But both of them was killed. Andriy was born in the city of Beryslav, Kherson region, in a family of workers. From childhood, he was interested in cars, technology, and loved scooters. After school, he went to study as a technician at a vocational school in Nova Kakhovka. He did not serve in the army, as he was recognized as partially unfit. He married early, lived with his wife and daughter in a village in the Kherson region. He worked at poultry factories, was a truck driver, and made doors at an enterprise. He performed all kinds of construction work, and together with his father, he built a boiler room in Beryslav. His relationship with his wife did not work out, and after the divorce, the man went to work in Poland. He helped his daughter. He returned to Ukraine a few years before the full-scale invasion. He found a new job. He remarried. According to his loved ones, the man was an ordinary person with simple desires: to have a loving family, a decent job, and his own car. He loved the truth, had a strong character, and enough courage to fight for justice. When the full-scale war began, Andriy and his new family and parents found themselves in the occupation in their native Kherson region. He worked as a worker in the housing and communal services, secretly volunteered, and helped people as best he could. Due to different political views, he parted ways with his beloved, left everything he had earned, and returned to his father in the occupied Beryslav. There he met his last love - Yulia, whom he had known since 9th grade. The couple started living together on the day of the deoccupation of their native city, November 11, 2022. In early December, the family evacuated to Kryvyi Rih, but there was no work there, so they moved to Kyiv. Volunteers settled the family in a hostel and helped them settle in. At the end of January 2023, Andriy started working at Nova Poshta. Andriy loved music very much - he listened to it on his phone, tablet, and in the car. And he also cooked deliciously. Borscht was his signature dish, as were sailor-style macaroni. In August 2023, Andriy was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In October, as part of the 112th separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces, he was sent to Kostiantynivka. Andriy was engaged in the evacuation of the wounded, saved the lives of soldiers. He took turns going to the "zero" line, on duty in the "medivac", and saved many comrades. On January 11, 2024, Andriy was buried. He left behind his father, daughter, beloved, her sons, relatives, friends, and comrades.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
