- Junior Sergeant Andrii Lozіuk (call sign Phosphor) died on May 20, 2022 during an enemy shelling with phosphorus bombs near the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Luhansk region. A month before that, the warrior turned 44 years old. Andrii was a native of the village of Mylatyn, Rivne region. From childhood he lived in the city of Ostroh. There he graduated from school. He served in the military. In 2015-2016 he took part in the ATO. Then he received higher education at the National University of Ostroh Academy in the specialty "Law". He also graduated from the master's program of the Faculty of Engineering and Pedagogy of the National Pedagogical University named after M. P. Drahomanov. He worked as a senior foreman at the Ostroh Higher Vocational School. On the morning of February 24, 2022, the man was already standing in line at the military registration and enlistment office to return to the front and defend the country. Later he fought in the ranks of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. He was a driver-anti-aircraft gunner. "The most devoted patriot, the best man, the most sincere and caring father, a caring son and brother, the most loyal friend," said the wife of the deceased. Andrii was buried on the Alley of Heroes of the New Cemetery in the city of Ostroh. At home, his wife Vita, daughters Sofia and Valentyna were waiting for him.
