Andrii S. Muravskyi (Khimik)

Sergeant Andriy Muravskyi (call sign Khimik) was killed on February 7, 2023 near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The life of the fighter was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper when he was providing assistance to a wounded comrade. In January, the defender turned 51 years old. Andriy was born in the Lviv region. He lived in Lviv. He graduated from the Lviv Medical College with a specialty in "Orthopedic Dentistry". He served his compulsory military service. In civilian life, he worked as a dental technician in a city polyclinic. Later, he became interested in furniture making and completely changed his profession according to his passion. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man took up the defense of his native country. He served in the 125th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a rifle unit. "With the start of the full-scale invasion, Andriy decided to defend the state from the occupiers. Due to his health condition, the district military enlistment office refused the man, but he could not stay at home, so he enlisted in the territorial defense of Lviv. His credo was the phrase: 'Who, if not us?'. Andriy was a very positive person. A kind, sensitive and extremely caring man," said the wife of the deceased, Viktoria. Andriy was buried in the Marsovoye Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. At home, his parents, wife and children were waiting for their defender.
