Andrii S. Romanov (Trener)

Andrii Anatoliyovych Romanov was born in the city of Lutsk. He was an active participant in the fan movement of the football club "Volyn", regularly cheering for his favorite team in the fan sector, and was part of the away activists of the Lutsk ultras. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he served in the military as part of the volunteer battalion "Sonetsko". Together with his fellow soldiers, he carried out reconnaissance and assault missions. He held the position of unit commander. At the head of a group, he attacked the occupiers in the area of the village of Zabuchchya in the Kyiv-Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv region. The enemy retreated towards the village of Rubizhivka. In the liberated village, the volunteers raised the Ukrainian flag and waited for the arrival of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to clear the settlement. They made a mistake when they assumed that two tanks entering the village were their own. He was killed on March 31, 2022, along with his comrades, from a shot from a Russian tank. The farewell ceremony for Andrii Romanov took place on April 8 and 9, 2022, in the House of Mourning and on Teatralna Square in the city of Lutsk. After the farewell, the ashes of the deceased were scattered, according to his will.
