- 24-year-old paratrooper Andriy Altychenko (call sign Alt) was killed on June 10, 2022, during an artillery shelling near the village of Bohorodychne, Donetsk region. Andriy was born in the city of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region. From his teenage years, he was engaged in sports and was fond of music and loved to dance breakdance. At the age of 18, the guy went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because he wanted to liberate his native Donbass from the occupiers. He took part in the ATO/JFO. When the full-scale war began, Andriy moved with his family to the Prykarpattia region. He settled in the village of Yavoriv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Later, he was drafted into the Armed Forces. Alt served in the 80th Separate Assault Brigade. He went to defend his native Donetsk region, where an enemy shell cut short his life. "My brother was a kind and brave man, always came to the aid of other people, he was defending the country from the first days of the war, I am very proud and grieving for him!" his sister Yana said. The defender was buried at the cemetery in the village of Yavoriv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. "Andriy promised to return to his loved ones, and hardly anyone could think that inexorable death would take him, that an enemy shell would so quickly cut short his young life... He became a relative to each of us, because Ukraine and the cruel war united us," Dolynskyi city mayor Ivan Dyryv said at the farewell to the defender. Andriy left behind his wife, a little son, mother, grandmother, two sisters, and a brother. Posthumously, soldier Andriy Altychenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
