- Soldier Andrii Ivanov (call sign Tykhyi) died on November 9, 2023 near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries. On October 1, the warrior would have turned 45 years old. Andrii was a native and resident of the city of Volochysk, Khmilnytskyi region. After graduating from the 9th grade, he entered the Volochysk Vocational School No. 5, where he obtained the profession of an electric gas welder. In civilian life, he worked as the deputy head of the guard at the "Motor Sich" machine-building plant. He loved to spend his free time at home with his wife and daughter. He was engaged in sports and kept himself in good physical shape. He was also interested in shooting. During the full-scale invasion, the man went to defend the most precious thing he had - his family, without hesitation. Andrii joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front. He fought as part of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, holding the position of a rifleman-medic. "For me, he is the best person in the world. He became a dad at 17, still so young. Maybe he didn't know how to be one, but he managed to become the best example for me, my friend and my support. He knew how to understand and support. He was honest and fair, he knew how to love. His love was so strong that he was not afraid to give his life for the future of his family, for the freedom of all of Ukraine. All his relatives and friends know how courageous, honest and fair he was, with his own position. He is a true patriot. And my Hero," said the fallen soldier's daughter Anastasiia. The defender was buried in his hometown. At home, Andrii was awaited by his wife Oksana and daughter Anastasiia.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
