- Serviceman Andrii Khaloiimov (call sign Cat) was killed on October 22, 2023 in the area of the settlement of Stepove in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties, he sustained a fatal mine-explosive injury. In September, the soldier turned 32 years old. Andrii was born and lived in Kyiv. In 2010, he obtained the profession of a computer typist at the A. Makarenko Kyiv Vocational and Pedagogical College. In 2012, he continued his studies in the direction of "Vocational Education. Computer Technologies". In 2018, he went to work as a rolling stock repair mechanic at the Kharkivske electric depot. Later, he was transferred to the position of electromechanician at the Obolon electric depot of the Kyiv Metro. He loved animals. He adored spending his free time in nature, driving a car, and organizing road trips around Ukraine with friends and loved ones. In April 2022, the man voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 45th separate rifle battalion. He was a rifleman. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk region. "Andrii was a true patriot of Ukraine, brave, responsible, had great respect and authority among his comrades-in-arms, loved to joke, and always came to the aid of his relatives and friends. He had many plans for life after the victory," said his sister Yulia Byrchenko. The warrior was buried at the Berkovets cemetery in the capital. Andrii is survived by his parents, wife, sister, other relatives, comrades-in-arms, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
