Andrii V. Knyryk

Knyrik Andrii Volodymyrovych was born on February 20, 1977 in Cherkasy. Since 2017, he has actively participated in combat operations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. During the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he was the senior sergeant of the mechanized platoon of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was killed on May 29, 2022 during a tank shelling of the unit's positions near the village of Nyrkove, Luhansk region. He was buried in Cherkasy.
