- Soldier Andriy Kopychyn (call sign Beton) was killed on February 2, 2023, during the evacuation of a wounded comrade near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 55 years old. Andriy was born in Lviv. He graduated from Lviv Vocational School No. 33 and obtained the profession of a car repair mechanic. He then received a basic higher education in the field of "Engineering Mechanics" at the Lviv Polytechnic National University. In his youth, he was a musician at weddings, then a long-distance driver. Later, he worked at a concrete plant and then had his own business. His last job was at the company LLC "EFE BETON", where he held the position of master of production of reinforced concrete products. He was a football fan. He was interested in cars. He loved to spend time in nature with his family and friends. He had big plans for the future. However, the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders destroyed everything. Andriy was mobilized into the ranks of the defenders and became a fighter of the 62nd separate battalion of the 103rd separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a machine gunner. "Andriy, my father-in-law, was a very kind, cheerful and sensitive person who always helped and supported everyone who needed it. He could smooth out any conflict, a person with a capital letter. He loved to sing very much, he sang at every celebration: whether it was a wedding or a birthday - the main thing was that there was a microphone. After the full-scale invasion, he volunteered, stood up to defend our state, and almost a year later, this damned war took him away. He will forever remain in our hearts and in our memories," said the deceased's daughter-in-law Anastasia. The warrior was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. At home, Andriy was awaited by his mother Lesya Romanivna, his wife Tetiana, his son Rostyslav, his daughter Anastasia, and his relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
