Andrii V. Kozhenevskyi

Senior soldier Andrii Kozhnevskyi was killed on June 6, 2022 in a battle with a sabotage group of occupiers in the area of the village of Komyshuvakha in the Luhansk region. At the end of the month, the soldier would have turned 41 years old. Andrii was born and lived in the city of Sosnivka, Lviv region. He studied at the local school. Then he served in the army. He worked as a team leader. In his free time, he loved to watch football and spend time with his family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend his native country from the occupiers. He fought as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. He held the position of anti-aircraft gunner. "I will never forget that terrible day when my mother informed me about my father. June 8, Wednesday, was a sunny warm day, but after that call everything changed. I didn't see or hear anyone, I couldn't believe that this could happen in our family. Our dad was never prepared for death, he was always positive, because he knew that we were waiting for him. How much he went through there and how many times he escaped from the hands of death - it's impossible to count. For all those who knew him, he will always be a positive, funny, kind man. We love you and are still waiting," the daughter of the fallen soldier said. The defender was buried in his hometown. At home, Andrii was awaited by his wife Oksana, daughter Viktoriia, sons Yevhen and Maksym, parents, brothers, godchildren and the whole family.
