Biography
Krutko Andrii Volodymyrovich was born in 1980 in the city of Nizhyn in the Chernihiv region. After graduating from a secondary school in his hometown, he obtained two higher education degrees and also had a medical qualification as a paramedic. He graduated from the Nizhyn Medical College. Since the beginning of the war in Eastern Ukraine, he went to the front. From the summer of 2014, he served in the special forces unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov": he fought in the village of Shyrokyne in the Mariupol district, near the village of Hranitne in the Volnovakha district in the Donetsk region. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was at the forefront in the city of Mariupol. When on April 11, 2022, the enemy used chemical weapons against the positions of the "Azov" fighters, Andrii Krutko described the symptoms, documenting this war crime. He died on April 15, 2022, providing emergency assistance to the wounded in the shelter under "Azovstal". A three-ton air bomb was dropped on the "Azov" fighters, which buried the underground floors. For personal courage and selfless actions manifested in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Andrii Volodymyrovich Krutko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously).Burial place
