- Soldier Andrii Mishyn (call sign Mikha) was killed on March 18, 2023 in the Chasiv Yar area in Donetsk region. While fulfilling a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The warrior was 42 years old. Andrii was born in Magadan (Russia). In 1992, when he was 12 years old, he moved with his family to Ukraine. He lived in Dniprodzerzhynsk (now Kamianske) in Dnipropetrovsk region. In 1999, he graduated from the Dniprodzerzhynsk Industrial Technical School with a specialty in "Installation and operation of electrical equipment of enterprises and civil structures", and obtained the qualification of an electrical technician. He served his mandatory military service. He worked at the Dniprospetsstal metallurgical plant of the Interpipe company. He was a 5th grade refractory worker. He spent his free time with his family. He loved football. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the defenders and became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He held the position of squad commander. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended Donetsk region. During his service, Andrii was awarded the honorary badge "Cross of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade", and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "He was a loving and beloved husband, he loved his daughter very much. He was also a very kind, responsible and reliable person, who would always help anyone who asked. When he went to war, he was confident that we were under his protection and safe. He helped his comrades-in-arms, provided psychological support, and saved many. When he came on leave, he was worried about his comrades-in-arms and often called them... He will forever remain in our hearts..." - said the fallen warrior's wife Yulia. "Andrii came to the company together with his brother Mykhailo in 2018. He worked as a refractory worker in the ladle preparation section. He had significant experience in his specialty and immediately proved himself to be a highly skilled specialist. In the memory of his colleagues, Andrii will forever remain an open and sincere person, a reliable colleague and a good friend. He was always ready to come to the rescue and approached any tasks and challenges with enthusiasm. The war takes the best..." - noted his colleagues from Interpipe. The defender was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in Kamianske. Andrii is survived by his mother, wife, daughter and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
