Andrii V. Petryk

Sailor Andrii Petryk was killed on August 15, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was forever 41 years old. Andrii was born and lived in the city of Selidove, Donetsk region. He studied at the Selidove Vocational and Technical School. In civilian life, he worked at the Kotliarevska mine of the SE "Selidivvuhillia". In his free time, he loved fishing very much. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for the Motherland in the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the assault-landing company of the 35th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyy. "For me, he is the best man, the best dad, my life. He is our Hero, whom we love very much and will always remember," said the wife of the fallen Tetiana. The marine was buried in his hometown. Andrii is survived by his parents, wife and children.
