- Born on June 9, 1990, in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. Graduated from the 7th grade of general education school No. 24 in Ivano-Frankivsk, in 2007 - from the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Lyceum-Internat for gifted children from rural areas (now - Ivano-Frankivsk Academic Lyceum-Internat), in 2011 - from the College of Electronic Devices of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas with a degree in "System Engineering." On May 15, 2012, he was drafted for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After being discharged from service, he worked in the field of security structures. From 2013, he studied part-time at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas with a degree in "Computer Control Systems and Automation." In March 2014, he was called up for partial mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 5th Territorial Defense Battalion "Prikarpattia" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V0120). From July 5 to August 26, 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. From January 2015, due to the disbandment of the battalion, he continued his service in the 15th Separate Guards Mountain Infantry Sevastopol Battalion of the 128th Separate Guards Mountain Infantry Turkestan-Zakarpattia Twice Red Banner Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778, city of Uzhhorod). From November 10, 2014, he again participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. From the end of November, he participated in the defense of the stronghold "Stanislav" in the village of Ridkodub, Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region, near the city of Debaltseve. On January 31, 2015, Sergeant Proshak was killed in battle with Russian-terrorist groups when, at night, during an attempt by Ukrainian troops in two infantry fighting vehicles to evacuate wounded soldiers from the stronghold "Stanislav," they fell into an ambush in the area of the village of Ridkodub, Shakhtarsk district of Donetsk region. On March 1, 2015, he was buried in the Alley of Glory at the Central Cemetery of Ivano-Frankivsk. In the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, on May 30, 2015, memorial plaques were opened for him on the facade of the building of the academic lyceum-internat (Yunosti Street, 13) and on April 14, 2016, on the facade of the building of general education school No. 24 (Khimikiv Street, 1), where Andriy Proshak studied. On September 20, 2017, a memorial sign was opened in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk on the territory of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Karpatska Street, 15) for students who died during the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, among whom is the name of Andriy Proshak.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
