Andrii V. Rybitskyi (Ryba)

Senior soldier Andrii Rybytskyi (call sign Fish) was killed on July 8, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. Exactly a month before that, on June 8, he turned 31 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Kozhuhivka, Kyiv region. After finishing school, he enrolled in the Kyiv College of Catering. He had a loving family and many plans for life. Before the war, he worked as a chef in the "Grigliata Italiana" restaurant. In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman-assistant grenadier. "Andrii was a beloved husband and loving father. A very active and energetic person. Friendly, always smiling, with a big heart and a kind soul. He was a reliable support for both his family and friends. Wherever help was needed, he was the first. Whether there was time or not, he found it for everyone," said the defender's wife, Yana. "Andrii was cheerful, fun, and sociable. He had many friends, a beautiful wife and children, a good family. He had big plans for the future, which never came true..." wrote Yulia Oleksenko, head of the Kalynivka settlement community. The defender was buried in his native village of Kozhuhivka. At home, he was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and two children.
