Andrii V. Shyshka

Soldier Andriy Shyshka was killed on March 13, 2022, during a missile attack on the Yavoriv training ground in the village of Starichi, Lviv region. The defender remained forever 27 years old. Andriy was a native of the settlement of Slobozhanske, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Radio Engineering College. He lived recently in the Czech Republic, working at a local car factory. During the full-scale invasion, he took up the defense of Ukraine, joining the ranks of the 356th Training Artillery Regiment. "At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the brother was abroad, but could not remain aloof and on March 5, 2022, he went home. The very next day, he voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and he was sent to the Yavoriv training ground," said Hennadiy Shyshka. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory in his native settlement. He is survived by his parents, sister and brother. Andriy Shyshka was posthumously awarded the medal "For Merits to the Slobozhanska Community".
