Andrii V. Syrko

Andriy Volodymyrovych Syrko was born on February 1, 1993, in the village of Streptiv, Lviv district, Lviv region. He graduated from the general education school in his native village. He then obtained a profession at the Higher Vocational School No. 71 in the city of Kamianka-Buzka. He worked as a track layer in the production unit "Kamianka-Buzka Track Distance" of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." In 2014-2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participating in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office for mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed on March 14, 2022, during a massive artillery shelling near the city of Lyman in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region. A memorial service was held on the evening of March 24, 2022, at the Church of Saints Cosmas and Damian in the village of Streptiv. On March 25, 2022, Andriy Syrko was buried in the cemetery of his native village.
