- Soldier Andrii Tkachenko (call sign Kasper) died on May 26, 2022, due to explosive shrapnel wounds while performing a combat mission near the village of Berestove in Donetsk region. The warrior was 21 years old. Andrii was born in the village of Vybl, Chernihiv region. He was the eldest in a large family. He stu at a rural school. Then he graduated from Kulykiv Professional Agrarian Lyceum, majoring in repair locksmith. He loved active sports and painting. In 2020, after graduating from the lyceum, the guy decided to tie his fate with the army and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Assault Brigade. During the full-scale war, he held the position of senior operator of the anti-tank department. Together with his comrades, from the first days of the Russian invasion, he restrained the enemy on the hot directions of the front. "Andrii was modest, kind, and brave. A true patriot of his country from his teenage years. He was interested in military equipment and dreamed of a free country. I am proud of my brother, his courage and patriotism!" - his sister Marina said. "He was kind, intelligent and brave," added his younger brother Mykhailo. Andrii was buried in his native village.
