Andrii Ya. Shved

28-year-old gunner Andrii Shved was killed on August 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Mariinka in the Donetsk region. Andrii was born and lived in the village of Nova Vasylivka in the Zhytomyr region. After finishing school, he immediately went to work to help his mother. He worked in various fields and was not afraid of work. His main passion was the search for antique items and coins. He spent his free time doing this. He loved children very much and dreamed of having a son. With the start of the full-scale war, the man decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner in the 79th separate air assault brigade. "Andrii was my support. I still can't believe my little brother is gone. He was a brave person, afraid of nothing. Loving, kind, and always ready to help," his sister Liubov said. The defender was buried in his native village in the Zhytomyr region. Andrii left behind two sisters and a fiancée.
