Four days earlier, while on combat duty near Bakhmut in Donetsk region, the soldier came under enemy fire. He sustained a serious head injury. The defender was 30 years old. Andrii was born and lived in the village of Brusyliv in Chernihiv region. He graduated from the Kyselivskyi educational complex. He then studied at the Chernihiv Radio Mechanical College, where he obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic. After conscription in 2014, he went to serve under contract with the border guards. He was a dog handler. In 2016-2017, he participated in the ATO. In 2018, he returned to civilian life in his native village. He worked at a factory producing sports equipment "Brustail". From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Andrii decided to defend Ukraine. Later he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 65th separate rifle battalion. On October 1, their unit went to Bakhmut. "Andrii was a bright, cheerful, optimistic person. He found a common language with everyone, he was the soul of the company. He knew what to talk about with peers and older people. An optimist, which is extremely rare to meet. When asked how things were, he had one answer: "Better than everyone!". He was always ready to help. He loved life very much. He had many plans for the future. He raised two sons: the elder - 4 years old, the younger - 10 months. In the last days, as if sensing his death, Andrii deeply regretted that the children were small, they would not remember him," said his sister Anastasia. The defender was buried in his native village in Chernihiv region. Andrii is survived by his parents, twin brother, sister, wife and two sons.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
