Anton A. Manko

Anton Andriyovych Manko was born on May 8, 2001, in the city of Brovary, Kyiv region. After graduating from a general education school in his hometown, he served in the Air Defense Division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In mid-February 2022, the unit was redeployed to the Luhansk region, near the city of Svatove, to monitor the airspace from the direction of Russia. On February 24, 2022, around 4:30 AM, a Russian aircraft was detected, but it was not shot down due to a lack of permission. Instead, the enemy launched missiles at the Ukrainian unit. Private Anton Manko was killed as a result of the first explosion.
