Anton A. Suslo (Slovian)

Молодший сержант Антон Сусло (call sign Slovan) was killed on May 13, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the village of Novoselyvka in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 24 years old. Antон was born in the village of Novooleксiivka in the Kherson region. He graduated from the Police Academy in Zaporizhzhia. After graduation, he served in the rapid response unit of the National Police. In his free time, he loved fishing. "He was interested in cars and could assemble a magnificent car from nothing, because he had been involved in an automotive club since childhood and participated in competitions. He was kind and sensitive," said the mother of the deceased Natalia. In 2016, the guy went to serve in the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later he was transferred to the 79th airborne assault brigade. He took part in the ATO / JFO. During his service, he was awarded the decoration of the President of Ukraine "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation" and the medal "For excellence in military service" of the III degree. In 2017, Anton entered the Alfred Nobel University in Dnipro. He studied in the correspondence form. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Slovan continued to defend Ukraine. He commanded a unit in the 79th airborne assault brigade. The defender was buried in Svatove, Luhansk region. The fighter's mother is waiting for the liberation of the Luhansk region to take the body of her son and bury him on his native land. Anton was survived only by his mother.
