Anton H. Petrenko (Tekhnoloh)

Warrior Anton Petrenko (call sign Technologist) was killed on April 15, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Zolotarivka in the Luhansk region. The defender was 29 years old. Anton was born in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He obtained a higher education at the Dnipro National University. He mastered the profession of a chemical technologist. He was passionate about music and loved to fish in his free time. He was married and raised a son. He had many plans and dreams for the future that were not destined to come true. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Anton, along with his brother, went to war. He served in the ranks of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He was a rifleman-assistant to a grenadier. "Anton was a very decent, kind, and sincere person. He had many plans. He volunteered for the war. A caring son, husband, father, and brother," said his cousin Maria. "A year ago, my mother-in-law let two volunteers, her sons, my husband and his younger brother, go to war... On April 15, 2023, during the performance of a combat mission near Sievierodonetsk, my husband's younger brother Anton Petrenko was killed. I don't want to believe it. I don't want to write anything. I just want to ask you to be grateful to this person and remember him," wrote Svitlana Okhotnik. The defender was buried in the village of Chaplynka, Dnipropetrovsk region. Anton is survived by his mother Valeria, wife Yulia, son Yaroslav, relatives, and friends.
