- Paratrooper Anton Kononov was killed on December 15, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. Before the enemy shelling cut his life short, he managed to be at the front for only 6 days. The fighter was 37 years old. Anton was born in the city of Mykolaivka, Donetsk region. He graduated from Kramatorsk Vocational School No. 14. He studied at the Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. For about 7 years he was a construction worker. Then he worked in Mariupol, at Azovstal and the Ilyich plant. In his free time, he was passionate about music and played the drums. During the full-scale war, Anton decided that he had to defend the country. He joined the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade. After training and preparation in December 2022, he ended up at the front. "My brother was a wonderful, bright and courageous person. He liked to listen to jazz and instrumental music. He loved it so much that he could spend hours telling me about this or that band. Our mother played the piano, Anton played the drums, and I danced at that time. Now I listen to this music and it seems like I'm hugging my brother. He was a talented person in everything. He made very beautiful wooden products, even made jewelry. I have always been proud of my brother. I regret that I rarely told him about it. He voluntarily decided to defend our land and his family. He was killed in his second battle. And now he protects us from heaven. My angel. I miss him very much and I want to hug him so badly," said the deceased's sister Tetyana. The serviceman was buried in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region. Anton is survived by a sister, wife, son and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
