Anton L. Moshchenko

Soldier Anton Moshchenko was killed on February 1, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Oleksandropil in the Donetsk region. The defender was only 20 years old. Anton was from the Kherson region. He grew up in a large family. Among five children, he was the youngest. After finishing school, he studied at a technical school to become a tractor driver. In his free time, he loved fishing and playing football. Before the full-scale invasion, he served his military service in Kyiv. He served in the separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He was a gunner. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he went with his brigade to defend Ukraine from the Russian invaders. "My youngest brother (the family called him Kotyk since childhood) was a real, positive, kind, very brave, strong person, distinguished by exceptional courage, bravery, and heroism. He was always devoted to the oath, always helped everyone. He was a passionate patriot of Ukraine. He was proud to wear a military uniform. He had many plans for life, but the cursed war changed everything..." - said the deceased's sister Alla. The young warrior was buried in Kherson. Anton is survived by his parents, older sisters, and brothers.
