Anton M. Kovtun (Fuhas)

Kovtun Anton Mykolaiovych was born on November 4, 1985. In 2018, he joined the ranks of the Special Purpose Regiment "Azov." At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, he held the position of commander of the 2nd section of the engineering-sapper platoon of the engineering-sapper company of the Special Purpose Regiment "Azov." He was killed on February 26, 2022 — during the performance of a combat mission, he sustained injuries incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Kovtun Anton Mykolaiovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
