Anton O. Voichyshyn (Pozitiv)

23-year-old police lieutenant Anton Voichyshyn (call sign Positive) was killed on July 19, 2023 near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of an attack by the enemy UAV "Lancet". Anton was born in the village of Saksahan, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived in the city of Kropyvnytskyi. In 2023, he was to receive a master's degree from the National Academy of Internal Affairs. He planned to build a career in the police, as he always wanted to protect people. During the full-scale invasion, the man performed his official duties in the ranks of the National Police of Ukraine. In July 2022, he was awarded the "For Service to the State" distinction. In February 2023, he joined the united assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Fury". He took the position of platoon commander and went to the front. "Anton was sincere, kind, and fair. He always valued friendship. In any difficult situation, he was the first to come to help," said his sister Anna. The defender was buried in his native village. Anton is survived by his parents, sisters, other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms. The police officer was posthumously awarded the "Cross of the Brave" distinction and the "Defender of the Motherland" medal.
