- Soldier Anton Akchurin (call sign Easel) was killed on July 20, 2023 near the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. The fighter received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack while covering the withdrawal of the group. The defender was 25 years old forever. Anton was born and lived in Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Vocational and Pedagogical College named after Anton Makarenko with a degree in "Food Technology". He worked in catering establishments in the capital. He loved to cook, engage in active sports, adored riding a longboard and a bicycle. In his free time, he was interested in theological literature. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Kyiv Territorial Defense Forces and participated in the defense of his native city. In December 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade. "Anton had a good and sincere heart, he was always ready to help those around him. He was brave and determined, and therefore, when he could not join the Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he was looking for ways to be useful to the country and the army. He joined the Territorial Defense Forces in the city and constantly sought opportunities to study and prepare for participation in the defense of the country, for example, he initiated trips for medical training. At the end of 2022, thanks to his perseverance, he joined the ranks of the 67th Brigade and took up the defense of the country in the East. He was always sincere in his intentions and wanted to defend his people to the last," his younger sister Tetyana said. "He was a conscientious student, sincere, kind, decent, incredibly loved his country. Anton was a true Christian, a servant of the church 'New Life'. May his soul be with the Lord. Eternal honor and glory to the Hero," was written on the page of the Kyiv College. The defender was buried at the Lisovyi Cemetery in Kyiv. At home, Anton was awaited by his parents and sisters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
