- Reconnaissance officer Anton Sivash (call sign Chivas) was killed on August 7, 2023. While crossing the Dnipro River after completing a combat mission in the enemy's rear in the Kherson direction, he and his comrades-in-arms were blown up by a mine and suffered fatal injuries. On September 27, the defender would have turned 25 years old. Anton was from Vinnytsia. He graduated with a gold medal from the local secondary school-gymnasium No. 6. He then obtained higher education at Vasyl' Stus Donetsk National University, Vinnytsia National Agrarian University, and the Institute of Innovative Education of Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture. He was an entrepreneur. He was involved in sports, including martial arts. He was interested in military topics. When the full-scale war began, Anton found a way to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In April 2022, he joined the tactical group "Revenge". As part of a mortar unit, he participated in the defense of Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region. After that, he was transferred to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, where as part of a mortar unit he carried out complex operations in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. In 2023, he joined an assault unit. He took part in the defense of the Kharkiv region and the creation of a strategic bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnipro. "My soul was torn to pieces. My best, my beloved, the best son, the best brother, the best of people. Such as you do not exist in the world. A man of his word, a man with a capital letter... Faithful, honest, very courageous, spiritual. You always came to help and never feared anything, never..." wrote the deceased's beloved Maia Tsykun. "Close friends and friends knew him as a passionate patriot, a support for his family and friends. He was a man with a big heart who sought selflessly to serve his people. From the first day of the war, Anton joined the ranks of the defense forces and soon found his place among the 'revanchists'. Despite his calm nature and reluctance to stand out, he was always looking for adventures, ignoring the danger. He was a reliable artillery and brave assault trooper. His romantic dream was to build a house near the Syvash Bay after the liberation of Crimea. But, having repelled the bridgehead on the enemy's fortified positions, after an intense battle in the moonlight, God called him to the heavenly phalanx," his comrades from "Revenge" noted. He was buried at the Sabarivske cemetery in Vinnytsia. At home, Anton was awaited by his parents, brother, girlfriend, relatives, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
